The reporter learned that the Canton Fair was held in three phases from April 15th to May 5th. There were 153 exhibitors in our city with 533 booths, including 113 brand booths. At present, the first phase of the Canton Fair has ended on April 19th. A total of 121 enterprises in our city participated in the first phase of the Canton Fair, with 352 booths. The products involved household appliances, lighting, building materials, bathroom and hardware.

According to the person in charge of Guangdong Omar Electric Appliance Co., Ltd., at this Canton Fair, Omar Electric Appliances exhibited the latest smart products, with more than ten smart refrigerators. Its intelligence is embodied in two aspects: first, it is simple. In ordinary refrigerators, one main control board controls the inverter compressor, and the other main control board controls other functions of the refrigerator, such as temperature control. After redesign, these main control boards are combined into one; Secondly, the sensor technology is fully used, which can monitor the temperature inside and outside the refrigerator, as well as the number of doors opened and the quantity of food, and transmit these information to the main control board, so that the main control board can automatically adjust the most suitable temperature at present, thus ensuring the freshness of food in the refrigerator.

In addition to Omar’s smart refrigerator, there are Shiyao’s smart air purifier and water cooling fan, Meitu’s smart toilet and so on. Smart home appliances in our city have obvious cost-effective advantages and are highly sought after by buyers.

In order to help enterprises in our city make full use of the Canton Fair platform to explore the international market, the Municipal Bureau of Commerce actively explores and innovates, actively serves, and promotes enterprises to make good use of the resources of the Canton Fair.
According to the person in charge of the Municipal Bureau of Commerce, in order to further help the export enterprises in our city to improve their ability to prevent overseas trade risks, the bureau jointly launched a quick credit check service for overseas buyers with China Export Credit Insurance Corporation. Export enterprises can check the credit reports of overseas buyers free of charge during the Canton Fair.
In order to make good use of the resources of the Canton Fair, the Ministry of Commerce and Xinhuanet set up a video interview room at the Canton Fair, so that buyers can fully understand the exhibitors. Taking this opportunity, the Municipal Bureau of Commerce carefully sorted out and selected enterprises according to the standards of the Ministry of Commerce, and recommended qualified high-quality enterprises in our city. In the end, two exhibitors were selected in the first phase of Guangdong, one of which was Guangdong Yongheng Liangpin Technology Co., Ltd. in our city. In addition, the Municipal Bureau of Commerce launched brand exhibitors such as Qilang Lighting, Jixin Lock Core and Jiawei Electronics, and participated in the "2018 Guangdong Export Famous Brand Enterprise Release Promotion Conference" organized by the Provincial Department of Commerce and the Provincial Association of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, which broadened the publicity channels and access channels for brand enterprises in our city.
According to the feedback from the exhibitors in the first phase, the number of buyers coming to the exhibition booth in our city has rebounded, and many new customers’ business cards have been obtained. The number of merchants who are interested in factory inspection and further negotiations in our city has increased significantly, which reflects the affirmation of foreign buyers on the quality of our products. Among them, exhibitors who mainly promote the American market said that the number of buyers in the first phase has not been reduced by the Sino-US trade dispute, and most American buyers do not value the Sino-US trade dispute, but value the quality and cost performance of the products.
