Laiwu unlocking reminds you: pay attention to vehicle theft prevention.

According to Laiwu Daily, on the morning of March 8, 2017, Mr. Chen, a taxi driver who lives in a certain district of High-tech Zone, was ready to go downstairs and get out of the car as usual, only to find that the left front window of the car was smashed and put in the co-pilot’s handbag. What surprised Mr. Chen even more was that six cars were smashed in their community in one night.

Case investigation is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

After the police went out to the police, it was found that in the early morning of March 8, there were 12 cases of car glass theft in three communities under the jurisdiction of the High-tech Zone, involving a total value of tens of thousands of yuan, which had a bad social impact. After the case occurred, the Public Security Bureau of High-tech Zone dispatched special personnel from the criminal police and police station to set up a task force to carry out work, comprehensively analyze and sort out all the cases of car glass theft that occurred this year, and the task force decided to smash this "hard bone".

However, after investigation, it was found that most of the communities where the crime was committed were old, and there was no monitoring equipment. Only one community had video surveillance, but there were many exits, and there was no night lighting. At the same time, the smashed vehicles had video dead angles and poor video conditions, which brought great difficulty to solving the case. For a time, the police investigation was like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Massive video to determine the suspect

In the face of many difficulties, the task force did not give up, and began to focus on vehicle victims, video surveillance and other clues, expand the source of clues, and conduct in-depth and meticulous investigations. By retrieving the surrounding surveillance video, the police found clues in a surveillance in a certain community. Although the on-site surveillance video is vague, it can be vaguely found that a suspicious man kept walking back and forth at the crime scene at the time of the incident, and often approached the vehicles in the parking lot and looked after the situation inside the car with a flashlight. In order to get more clues, the investigators radiated from the crime scene, retrieved more than 30 monitoring probes at surrounding intersections and surrounding residential quarters, and retrieved and watched surveillance videos for more than 100 hours.

During the investigation, the police finally found an old white Nissan car on the road where the crime occurred. The case gradually became an eyebrow, and the police immediately started work around this old Nissan sedan, and obtained a clearer driver photo by collecting the recent bayonet data of the suspected vehicle.

After many twists and turns, the thief was finally caught.

Through the comparison of bayonet photos and portraits, the police found a suspect, Lu, and also learned the number plate hung by the suspected vehicle. However, Lu was still a suspect in another case of seeking trouble. The police handling the case struck while the iron was hot, arrested Lu in time and successfully arrested him.

After the trial, the police found that Lu was not a suspect in the case of smashing car glass. He had driven this Nissan car, but borrowed it from his friend. As for his friend, he only knew his nickname and didn’t know his true identity. This made the police who had just seen the dawn of solving the case suddenly lose the direction of investigation, and the police handling the case re-launched video tracking around the license plate.

Through video tracking, the police investigating the case found that the suspected car disappeared near Dong Garden Snack Street, and the police immediately visited and investigated the snack street as a key area. A Santana with a suspected license plate inadvertently entered the police’s sight. The police waited for the rabbit and controlled a suspicious man with glasses ready to drive away. However, upon inquiry, the license plate hung by the man was borrowed from Wei in the same village two days ago.

The police immediately carried out investigation and evidence collection work around Wei. After investigation, Wei had a criminal record of car glass theft and had just been released from prison for less than a year. At the same time, the follow-up investigation has also made new discoveries. In a trash can in a park in the High-tech Zone, the bag discarded by the suspect was found. After biological examination, it was found that the information left on the bag was also Wei’s.

On March 25, the police handling the case arrested Wei, who was hiding in his relatives’ home in a certain district. After a series of cases, the police found that the suspect Wei Mou drove to Dongfeng Community, Brewery Dormitory, Wenyang Garden in High-tech Zone, Wenshuiyuan Community and Lanxinyuan Community in Laicheng District in the early morning of March 8, and there were many cases of car glass theft.

At present, the suspect Wei has been criminally detained according to law, and the case is being further processed.
